In contrary to the former case, this time I have had pleasant sessions with two models. The first one, Julya, a Russian girl who lives in Europe, declared that she can dance and she really could. Joy from the successful results this time!
I knew Anna, the other model, from former four sessions that we executed together in nature and in the studio. She is an Ukrainian refugee who fled the war and has, except dance abilities also a sense of humor. I wanted to paint only her buttocks with smiles and winks.
I never execute a partly body-painting, but this time I decided to make an exception. Already when I was a teenager I noticed, that girl’s (yes I know, #boys too) buttocks can “smile”: the fold under the butts which named scientifically “gluteal sulcus” was “smiling” and “winking” to me while they were walking. I decided to convert this smiles and winks to a dialog between both.
My original plan was to paint Anna’s legs and torso too in black, so that her yellow painted butts will “float” in the air against the black background. Unfortunately, because Anna was short in time, I didn’t execute my plan fully. A pity! Maybe another time…
