Dance – Homage to Matisse
The painting Dance has been created by Matisse in 1909. It was a preliminary version of the work he made for the Russian businessman and art collector Sergei Shchukin. Normally I prefer to let the models dance themselves. Now I made a dance in dance, painting it on the back of Gerco Mons, a journalist from the Dutch newspaper De Gelderlander. His article has been published online on 10 December 2024 and in the printed newspaper two days later.
